Why iOS devices suddenly just became a threat to Sky
Here in New Zealand, Sky operates a nice little monopoly on the pay TV market. It has been like that since 1990 and there are no signs of any new entrants. Feeding us with paltry meals of imported shows two-or-three seasons behind their expiry date, Sky has enjoyed fat profits and (compared to other countries) only few channels to buy programming for. Telecom’s iPhone SIM only offer extended again… now until 28th Feb
In case you hadn’t heard Telecom don’t sell the iPhone, however they do want you on their network. They have been offering a $600 account credit when you bring your iPhone to XT (with certain terms) and in November last year they extended the offer in an effort to try an entice more iPhone customers to the network. This ended on 31st January, however due to popular demand they have extended the offer for 2 more weeks (from now) and it expires on 28th February. iBooks 1.2 available now – sadly still no decent books for NZ readers
Apple have just released iBooks 1.2 and with the update comes a few nice enhancements such as printing PDF’s (if you have an Airplay printer), Organising your books and PDFs into personal Collections and you can now get fully illustrated books…. well that’s assuming you’re not on the NZ store. You see unfortunately one of those enhancements is not an update to the NZ iBookstore, meaning the content is still just as bad as the day it launched.…

Apple TV 4.1.1 has just hit the intertubes, but don’t get too excited as it’s really just a bug-fix for some issues that particular TVs had with the Apple TV’s HDMI signal.
