When we visited the NZ iDev Un-Conference waaaaay back last year, there was a time slot set aside for ‘Show and Tell’. One app that caught our eye was Sudoku Real Edition for the iPad by New Zealand husband and wife developers David & Amy Jones.

Now, Sudoku Real Edition 2 has been approved by Apple and we have a sneak peek at what’s in store (or going to be on Saturday). We also managed to catch up with David & Amy for a bit of a chat to find out more about their apps, what’s new in version 2, oh and we’ve got hold of three promo codes to giveaway. Exclusive hands on – Kiwi App Preview: TradeMe [video][gallery] – Update Available Now!

Way back when we first started this site we wrote about “Kiwi sites that should have an iPhone version but don’t”. The #1 site for us was TradeMe but nothing ever came of it until 10 months later when iPhonewzealand writer Paul received a Tweet saying “it’s on the to do list”, then a month and half ago we saw the TradeMe API released and immediately questions were being asked of an imminent iPhone app.

We heard nothing and clearly if anything was being worked on it was under NDA…. that is until today! Completely out of the blue we received an email from a dev asking us for our UDID’s so he could send us a surprise…. we’re pretty switched on here at iPnz and spotted the @trademe.co.nz part of his email address straight away. Needless to say our UDID’s were sent immediately and below is our first look and hands-on with the new, official, TradeMe app.

Yellow really are doing a good job of keeping on top of the app game and today we received their latest… Yellow for iPad and Yellow for iPhone (updated). Not available just yet, but they have been submitted, we thought we’d give you a preview of what’s to come in these two fantastic new apps. Continue reading to find out more…

For some time now, iPhone users have been asking for a Trademe or Sella app. TradeMe users have been more vocal than Sella when it comes to talking about an app (and more-so why they don’t have one), perhaps due to the sheer number of TradeMe users. But little did we know that Sella have been quietly working away in the background on an app which is sure to see the folk at TradeMe snapping their pencils.

They have just submitted the app to the store and it should be live within the next few days and will be free to download. They have sent us a preview to take a look at and we’ll be doing a full review soon. Join us after the break for a quick look and a few images to whet the appetite..

Yes, my beautiful iPad has finally reached me here in New Zealand. Naturally the first thing I did was get it all nice and comfy following its epic journey, offer it some refreshments and cook it a light meal, then activate it and point it straight at the world’s best New Zealand-based iPhone site. A full review will be up sometime in the next couple of days but I really want to do the article justice by taking some time to actually use it rather than just jump in with nothing but first impressions. Having said that, first impressions are jaw-dropping and I can’t wait to put it through its paces. Goodbye outside world, you won’t be seeing me for a while..!

We get sent apps for review fairly regularly, some good, some bad and some that have nothing to do with New Zealand AT ALL, however today I received an email from the same team that developed the Yellow App (Smudge Apps) simply saying “Thought you’d like to have a play with the new iPhone app we’ve been working on for NZ…Let me know what you think. We’re pretty happy with it”.
