We’ve looked at TomTom in the past, way back when it first came out, but since then there have been a number of updates drop which have given you updated maps, vehicles, Map Share™ and additional voices that you can download (only you’ll need to be a Star Wars fan). You may remember a couple of months ago TomTom launched a page on their site where you could order an iPhone 4 adapter for your TomTom Car kit. Well, after much waiting it would seem they are on their way!

Not so long ago I posted about how you need to add a piece of velcro to your TomTom car kit if you wanted it to work with your iPhone 4. Well it seems TomTom have decided to respond themselves and instead of making you fork out for a new iPhone 4 car kit they are giving away a free adapter to make your current kit work with your new iPhone 4 without the need for the Velcro.

TomTom 1.3 adds new features….. just not as many as for other countries

So as everyone who has the app knows, and probably a lot of you that may not, TomTom 1.3 was released a few days ago. We looked at it and decided not to review it, we can’t review every single app that gets released, but what did interest us and many of our users was the lack of some of the features that are available to other countries. We received a number of emails asking us to contact TomTom to find out why some features are “missing” from the New Zealand version of the app.
