FTW: Apple Releases Apple TV Software Version 4.4.4, Tweaks iOS 5.0.1 for iPhone 4S
Apple today released a software update for the second-generation Apple TV, bringing the set-top box to version 4.4.4. The update arrives as Build 9A406a, but it is not yet clear what improvements are included in the release.
Apple TV software 4.4.3 was released last month and added support for Netflix streaming in Mexico and an audio output issue when the connected television set is turned off.

Go get it devs! (and probably a lot of non-devs)…. Apple has just released iOS 5 beta 7, iTunes 10.5 beta 7, Apple TV Software beta 6 and Xcode 4.2 Developer Preview 7.
You can download iOS 5 beta 7 for all the usual suspects (iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPad 2 or iPod touch 4th and 3rd gen) as an OTA delta update (70.9MB) or via the developer centre.

iOS 5 Beta 4 available for download now
Well that went fast, I can’t believe it is time for a new beta! Hot on the heels on multiple other updates Apple have released iOS5 beta 4 for download. Reports are coming in that it is a really slow download however it has dropped pretty quickly for us.
Those of you that are a paid developer can sign in with your Apple developer ID and download this here, but you already knew that.
Note: The Apple TV has remained at beta 3 whilst all others have been updated to beta 4.

Yesterday Apple released iOS 4.3.4 in an attempt to close the hole on the PDF exploit that is used by the JailbreakMe jailbreak, and this is literally all it is for. As per the image above the only thing listed in the update notes is that it “Fixes security vulnerability associated with viewing malicious PDF files”. More details on the update can be found on the Apple support site.
The update is for iPad, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPhone 4, iPod touch (4th generation), iPhone 3GS and is a pretty quick download and update. So plug your iDevice in, fire up your iTunes and get updating.…

A few minutes ago Apple pushed a minor software update for the Apple TV 2nd generation. The firmware file, available for download here, is labelled 4.2.2 (build 8F305), but we’re pretty sure it’ll follow another nomenclature in the internal Apple TV settings or Apple’s website, as with previous releases. iOS 4.2.1 for the second generation Apple TV was released on March 22 with various fixes including TV compatibility and audio improvements.
Here’s the full changelog for 4.2.2. As expected it contains various bug fixes and stability improvements.
